The United States has in recent years added a new dimension to its pattern of interaction with Asia-Pacific countries with the construction and bolstering of several minilateral mechanisms throughout the region. Japan and South Korea are keen on discussing their participation in the AUKUS, while the Philippines is overtaking India and becoming increasingly active in the US-led initiatives.

The May issue of TI Observer zooms in on new developments of those minilaterals in the Asia-Pacific and examines how these changes will redefine strategic dynamics and the security situation in the region.

近期，美国同亚太国家互动频繁，亚太“小多边”机制进展不断。日韩两国积极讨论加入美英澳三边安全伙伴关系（AUKUS），同时，菲律宾日渐超越印度，活跃在“小多边”机制当中。

《太和观察家》（TI Observer）五月刊关注亚太地区“小多边”机制相关动态，探讨这一机制对域内国家战略政策制定、区域安全形势的影响。
